How do I book a seat?

You can book online here, or you can send us a message on Facebook, or you can book in person at Allerford Post Office, or just turn up on the night! Tickets cost £5 to be paid on the door.

How does The Vale Cinema work?

The Vale Cinema is a community cinema at Allerford Village Hall. It is operated by volunteers, and all profits go to the upkeep of our community hall. We show one film on the last Friday of every month.

Who can attend The Vale Cinema?

The Vale Cinema isn't a club - anyone can come along. And it's not just for local villagers - we welcome you if you are living in the surrounding area or on holiday here in Exmoor.

Are refreshments available?

We offer a wide selection of refreshments including Styles Exmoor ice cream, tea and coffee, soft drinks and traditional cinema snacks. Feel free to bring your own beer and wine if you like.

Why have we set up a community cinema?

The beautiful villages of Allerford, Selworthy and Bossington have worked hard to refurbish their village hall and wanted to make more use of it. There are lots of new activities including Yoga, Tai Chi, a book swap, a football clubs and now, a village cinema.

What kind of specialized support is available for village cinemas?

There are lots of village cinemas across the country. The Vale Cinema is proudly supported by the British Film Institute and Cinema for All. We have had support from Ray at Nether Stowey village cinema, Moviola and Lynton Cinema.
