WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
January 2016 - Dark Horse
The first film ever shown at The Vale Cinema was Dark Horse, the incredible true story of a Welsh racehorse, trained at West Somerset's Hobbs Stables.
OUR BIGGEST HIT
May 2016 - Dad's Army
Our highest attendance to date was for Dad's Army, a film adaptation of the beloved wartime TV comedy series. Over 70 people joined us to watch.
COMMUNITY FAVOURITES
March 2016 - Lady in the Van
We've shown over 40 films to date, it's the heartwarming and hilarious that are the community's favourites.
COCKTAILS ANYONE?
August 2016 - Hail, Caesar!
We held a special Hollywood-style cocktail hour to celebrate Hail Caesar, a hilarious film about the golden age of Hollywood film making.
ALWAYS IN STYLE
September 2017 - Styles Ice Cream
We introduced Exmoor's award-winning ice cream brand, Styles Ice Cream. This selection went on to be one of our most popular snack choices.
SONG AND DANCE
September 2018 - The Ballad of Shirley Collins
The Vale Cinema took part in Allerford Music and Dance Week, a week of events centred around traditional music and dance. We presented the story of folk music icon, Shirley Collins.
